What Is God’s View on Same-Sex Marriages? By Pastor Misty Holmes-Dorsey

What Is God’s View on Same-Sex Marriages?
By Pastor Misty Holmes-Dorsey

What I am going to write about may offend and upset many in the world today including some of those who co-labor with me in ministry. The only voice that needs to be heard is the voice of God. We as Christians that live in America we need to understand that God framed the worlds through faith. (Hebrews 11:3)

John 1 (KJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Today we are living in very crucial times where decisions are being made that will govern our nation. We live in a land where people are picketing all over our states wanting our government to hear them loud and clear. They are crying out for same-sex marriages to be legalized in all states. There are presently 36 states that have legalized same-sex marriages.

Our Supreme Court is hearing arguments to decide if:

• Same-sex marriages should be legalized in all 50 states? Is the ban on gay marriages constitutional?
• Should gay marriages that were banned previously be reinstituted in the states where they were forbidden?

Understand God did not ordain nor did He authorize same-sex marriage. He destroyed a whole city and a people because of their sin (sexual desires). Understand God has a problem with same-sex marriages. Those in the Body of Christ must have a problem with it as well because God does. It’s not our will it’s His. Have we come to a place and time in this country and in the so-called church that truth and values and God Word means nothing. We barely preach from the whole Bible anymore. We pick and choose Scriptures that will not be offensive or hurt our offerings. We have come to be more concerned with the finances and growth of the church, more than about getting people delivered and set-free so they can live the victorious life that Christ has promised.

Many of us feel that we can pick and chose what part of God and His Word we want. We treat God like a drive up fast food chain; we want it our way because it will suit our desires. This is wrong and not only has America begin to compromise the church has compromised as well. Holiness and Sanctification is no longer a standard of living in the Body of Christ. We have come to a place in time that we don’t want the same things God wants. What has happened to America and it’s people? When Israel sinned judgment soon followed. Let’s learn from history. It’s time to draw nigh to God not far from Him. Deliverance is available to you – there is not a place where our God will not go to free you from the snares and the bonds of the enemy (Satan).

Without people saying anything you can hear the non-verbal speaking louder than the verbal. When we want our desires many feel there’s no need to bring God in this. People have come that they don’t want to hear the voice of God in the church, government, jobs and our homes. We are forgetting without God you can do nothing. What is it for a man to gain the whole world and to lose his soul? Something we don’t think about. I heard my overseer preach a word that in hell they are crying out for you not to go there. The man asked God could Lazarus warn his love ones about this place (hell) so they don’t have to go there.

Luke 16:27-28 (KJV)
27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:
28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

We must understand that God is the Creator of the whole universe and his Word will not return unto Him void. The Bible tells us in:

Psalm 24: (KJV)
24 The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

We need to lean to God for counsel and understanding. He knows all things and He changes not. Therefore, why not consult God for directions and guidance? One thing for sure for all those that have doubted and still doubt the authenticity of the Word of God; know that the Word of God will stand forever and ever. Everything that was written and spoken of shall not fall to the ground.

Matthew 24:35 (KJV)
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Isaiah 46:10 – Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Proverbs 19:20-21 (KJV)
20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.
21 There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.

There are demonic spirits that are organized to destroy you, and we can’t even see because our fleshly desires have controlled us, and we have failed to bring them into submission to an Almighty God. So they have come into many and have taken up house and have you believing all kinds of lies. The Bible tells us in:

1 Timothy 4 (KJV)
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Know what is happening in our world is prophecy being fulfilled. Understand God loves you, and He desires to heal and restore you back to Him and His Word. As long as you ignore truth you will stay trapped in a world, and Satan will sift you as wheat, but know one thing that Christ is interceding for you.

Let’s look at what happened in the Garden of Eden where Satan asked Eve did God say. Just as she reasoned out God’s will many are doing the same today. Reasoning when it comes to God’s Word is a satanic principal, which leads to rebellion than to witchcraft. Eve used her sight to taste what was forbidden with her eyes before she put it in her mouth. As a result of their sin, they were thrown out of the garden. Know that your eyes will cause you to taste what is forbidden. Don’t let your untrained eye to cause you to lust after that, which is not natural. They paid a price to see and at the end still could not see.

Genesis 3:6 – And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Let’s look at some Scriptures. Scriptures are not meant to scare you but to cause you to hear God and seek out his will for your life and others. To do this, we must pull down our thoughts, imaginations, and preconceived ideas and allow God to speak to us.

Some of you may even believe in the Darwin’s theory of evolution. Well know this before he died he gave his life to the Lord and got saved while he was on his deathbed. He repented and recanted his theory.

God is the one that created the heavens and the earth and all that is in it. He is the author and the finisher of our faith.

Genesis 1:1 – That in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:3 – And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Genesis 1:6 – And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
Genesis 1:9 – And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
Genesis 1:11 – And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
Genesis 1:14 – And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
Genesis 1:20 – And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
Genesis 1:24 – And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
Genesis 1:26-28 – And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Genesis 1:31 – And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

I want you to look at what God spoke and said during creation. He knew what He was doing before the foundations of the earth. Do you really desire to know whom and what defines marriage, God and His Word does and they cannot be separated?

Genesis 2:21-25
21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

1 Corinthians 7 (KJV)
7 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

Ephesians 5:31 (KJV)
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

God constituted marriage between man and woman. He also destroyed a city because of the sexual sin and the corruption. God is a God of love, and He is a God of judgment. Are we ready to pay the price for our sin (missing the mark)?

Ezekiel 14:13 (KJV)
13 Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:

What disaster are we bringing on our land and into our families? Your iniquities will visit up to four generations. Is there anyone that will stand for truth and not be moved? Stand in a place where compromise is not an option. Is there anyone willing to allow God’s Word to come forth as the two-edge sword? It’s time to speak and release the Word. Our church, nation and the people are at hand. Let us continue to speak truth and cry loud and spare not.

Genesis 18:20-21 (KJV)
20 And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;
21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

All I can say is that God’s Word will not return unto Him void. We need to PRAY FOR REAL!!! – Same-sex marriages are one of the open doors for iniquity (lawlessness) to abound because people will throw off their restraints.

WAKE UP CHURCH! WAKE UP AMERICA! COME INTO YOUR BIRTH RIGHT!

They that have an ear hear what the spirit is saying to the CHURCHES:

They that have an ear hear what the spirit is saying to the CHURCHES:

Genesis 18:16-21 (KJV)

16 And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

17 And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

20 And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

Day 17 – 40 Days of Daily Devotions – Joshua 9

Day 17
Devotional Reading:

Joshua 9 (KJV)
1 And it came to pass, when all the kings which were on this side Jordan, in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea over against Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof;
2 That they gathered themselves together, to fight with Joshua and with Israel, with one accord.
3 And when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to Ai,
4 They did work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles, old, and rent, and bound up;
5 And old shoes and clouted upon their feet, and old garments upon them; and all the bread of their provision was dry and mouldy.
6 And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men of Israel, We be come from a far country: now therefore make ye a league with us.
7 And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you?
8 And they said unto Joshua, We are thy servants. And Joshua said unto them, Who are ye? and from whence come ye?
9 And they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of the name of the Lord thy God: for we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt,
10 And all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were beyond Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, which was at Ashtaroth.
11 Wherefore our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spake to us, saying, Take victuals with you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say unto them, We are your servants: therefore now make ye a league with us.
12 This our bread we took hot for our provision out of our houses on the day we came forth to go unto you; but now, behold, it is dry, and it is mouldy:
13 And these bottles of wine, which we filled, were new; and, behold, they be rent: and these our garments and our shoes are become old by reason of the very long journey.
14 And the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the Lord.
15 And Joshua made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation sware unto them.
16 And it came to pass at the end of three days after they had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their neighbours, and that they dwelt among them.
17 And the children of Israel journeyed, and came unto their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Gibeon, and Chephirah, and Beeroth, and Kirjathjearim.
18 And the children of Israel smote them not, because the princes of the congregation had sworn unto them by the Lord God of Israel. And all the congregation murmured against the princes.
19 But all the princes said unto all the congregation, We have sworn unto them by the Lord God of Israel: now therefore we may not touch them.
20 This we will do to them; we will even let them live, lest wrath be upon us, because of the oath which we sware unto them.
21 And the princes said unto them, Let them live; but let them be hewers of wood and drawers of water unto all the congregation; as the princes had promised them.
22 And Joshua called for them, and he spake unto them, saying, Wherefore have ye beguiled us, saying, We are very far from you; when ye dwell among us?
23 Now therefore ye are cursed, and there shall none of you be freed from being bondmen, and hewers of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God.
24 And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the Lord thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore afraid of our lives because of you, and have done this thing.
25 And now, behold, we are in thine hand: as it seemeth good and right unto thee to do unto us, do.
26 And so did he unto them, and delivered them out of the hand of the children of Israel, that they slew them not.
27 And Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of the Lord, even unto this day, in the place which he should choose.

After the battle of Jericho and Ai one would think that the battles were over. However, they were just beginning their assignment of taking dominion and authority. God told Joshua that, “Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.” When God speaks to us, sometimes we think that we don’t have to do anything. One thing I have come to understand that believing, trusting, relying and having faith in God requires work. Faith without works is dead.

A defeat or a fall does not constitute that you lose the battle. I remember when my dad (Larry Holmes) was defending his WBC Heavyweight Boxing title like it was yesterday. Earnie Shavers hit him so hard that he hit the canvas in the 7th round, and I didn’t think my dad was going to get up. However, I remember the chants that came out of the fans mouth saying Larry, Larry, Laaaaary and my dad got up and won the fight and retained his WBC Heavyweight Boxing title. What I am saying to you is that you can get up. There were more fights that he had to take on, and he did just that.

What I am saying to you there is a lot more that you must do for the Kingdom of God, and you have come to far to quit. The devil is not excited at all that you have the ability to move on and to do all that God is asking you to do. He does not like the idea that you have already defeated him and that victory belongs to God’s children. He is jealous and will bring all kinds of deceptive ways to get you off the way that God has established for you. He is a liar and the father of lies. Do not be deceived.

1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Do not allow the enemy to catch you off guard because of what he presents to you when we come. When you start walking in your purpose, and your calling news will get out to the community and surrounding areas. Just as the news traveled it reached the inhabitants of Gibeon and what Joshua had done to Jericho and Ai.

While the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and the Jebusites heard what Joshua had done they gathered themselves together, to fight with Joshua and with Israel, with one accord.

The people of Gibeon knew what the children of Israel had done they saw no way of possible winning a war with Joshua. So they masqueraded themselves to have Joshua and princes think they were strangers from a far land. You cannot and must not be deceived by anyone when God gives you instructions you must follow it out completely. Not only did God speak to Joshua, Moses spoke to Joshua and the children of Israel concerning the Word of the Lord. Remember when God tells you something you must keep the Word of the Lord before you. He told Joshua to meditate on it day and night. David said the Word that I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee.

Deuteronomy 7:1-2 (KJV)
1 When the Lord thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;
2 And when the Lord thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:

God had told Joshua not to make an alliance with anyone. They were not to join themselves with no one in the land, but to take the land and to destroy all. Today we think twice before we do with God said. Adam and Eve were deceived by Satan and got thrown out of the garden. Don’t come this far and forfeit what is on your life because someone(s) disguised themselves, and you chose not to seek on concerning the matter.

2 Corinthians 6:14-17 (KJV)
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

We must not compromise the things of God by allowing the enemy to entice us. We must pray about everything even when it sounds good. One of the gifts that the Body of Christ is lacking and don’t seem to seek anymore is discernment. We seek other gifts without discernment you have the possibilities of abusing all the other gifts. Discernment will not only let you see what’s operating in the lives of others it will cause you to see what is in you. In this day and time, we must discern what is of God and what is not.

The men of Israel took their victuals and never once inquired of the Lord. Joshua made peace with them to let them live, and the leaders of Israel established a covenant with them. Joshua never once in this situation sought the counsel of the Lord, and did not remember the command of the Lord. Do not allow the enemy to blind us from seeing the Gospel. Whatever, you do know that what every state you find yourself in know that you cannot move forward without prayer, praise, worship and the Word of God. Be aware of the devil and his tactics. They made an oath with them in the Lord’s name and, therefore, they had to honor it.

Pray:
Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for being God and Savior of my life. Thank you that your mercy endures forever and ever. I ask you in the name of Jesus for the gift of discernment or sharpen the gift and teach me how to walk in this gift with character and integrity. I pray that the Word of God will be in my heart that I might sin against your will and your purpose. Please lead and guide me and let the spirit of wisdom to rest upon me. Keep my eyes fixed upon you and let me not forsake your counsel. Show me your ways and teach me how to walk in them completely. I pray this prayer in Jesus name I pray, Amen!

Book of Joshua 40 Day Devotional

Day 16

Joshua 8 (KJV)

And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land:

And thou shalt do to Ai and her king as thou didst unto Jericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye take for a prey unto yourselves: lay thee an ambush for the city behind it.

So Joshua arose, and all the people of war, to go up against Ai: and Joshua chose out thirty thousand mighty men of valour, and sent them away by night.

And he commanded them, saying, Behold, ye shall lie in wait against the city, even behind the city: go not very far from the city, but be ye all ready:

And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will flee before them,

(For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say, They flee before us, as at the first: therefore we will flee before them.

Then ye shall rise up from the ambush, and seize upon the city: for the Lord your God will deliver it into your hand.

And it shall be, when ye have taken the city, that ye shall set the city on fire: according to the commandment of the Lord shall ye do. See, I have commanded you.

Joshua therefore sent them forth: and they went to lie in ambush, and abode between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of Ai: but Joshua lodged that night among the people.

10 And Joshua rose up early in the morning, and numbered the people, and went up, he and the elders of Israel, before the people to Ai.

11 And all the people, even the people of war that were with him, went up, and drew nigh, and came before the city, and pitched on the north side of Ai: now there was a valley between them and Ai.

12 And he took about five thousand men, and set them to lie in ambush between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of the city.

13 And when they had set the people, even all the host that was on the north of the city, and their liers in wait on the west of the city, Joshua went that night into the midst of the valley.

14 And it came to pass, when the king of Ai saw it, that they hasted and rose up early, and the men of the city went out against Israel to battle, he and all his people, at a time appointed, before the plain; but he wist not that there were liers in ambush against him behind the city.

15 And Joshua and all Israel made as if they were beaten before them, and fled by the way of the wilderness.

16 And all the people that were in Ai were called together to pursue after them: and they pursued after Joshua, and were drawn away from the city.

17 And there was not a man left in Ai or Bethel, that went not out after Israel: and they left the city open, and pursued after Israel.

18 And the Lord said unto Joshua, Stretch out the spear that is in thy hand toward Ai; for I will give it into thine hand. And Joshua stretched out the spear that he had in his hand toward the city.

19 And the ambush arose quickly out of their place, and they ran as soon as he had stretched out his hand: and they entered into the city, and took it, and hasted and set the city on fire.

20 And when the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to flee this way or that way: and the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers.

21 And when Joshua and all Israel saw that the ambush had taken the city, and that the smoke of the city ascended, then they turned again, and slew the men of Ai.

22 And the other issued out of the city against them; so they were in the midst of Israel, some on this side, and some on that side: and they smote them, so that they let none of them remain or escape.

23 And the king of Ai they took alive, and brought him to Joshua.

24 And it came to pass, when Israel had made an end of slaying all the inhabitants of Ai in the field, in the wilderness wherein they chased them, and when they were all fallen on the edge of the sword, until they were consumed, that all the Israelites returned unto Ai, and smote it with the edge of the sword.

25 And so it was, that all that fell that day, both of men and women, were twelve thousand, even all the men of Ai.

26 For Joshua drew not his hand back, wherewith he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.

27 Only the cattle and the spoil of that city Israel took for a prey unto themselves, according unto the word of the Lord which he commanded Joshua.

28 And Joshua burnt Ai, and made it an heap for ever, even a desolation unto this day.

29 And the king of Ai he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his carcase down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city, and raise thereon a great heap of stones, that remaineth unto this day.

30 Then Joshua built an altar unto the Lord God of Israel in mount Ebal,

31 As Moses the servant of the Lord commanded the children of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses, an altar of whole stones, over which no man hath lift up any iron: and they offered thereon burnt offerings unto the Lord, and sacrificed peace offerings.

32 And he wrote there upon the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he wrote in the presence of the children of Israel.

33 And all Israel, and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side before the priests the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, as well the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount Gerizim, and half of them over against mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded before, that they should bless the people of Israel.

34 And afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessings and cursings, according to all that is written in the book of the law.

35 There was not a word of all that Moses commanded, which Joshua read not before all the congregation of Israel, with the women, and the little ones, and the strangers that were conversant among them.

Can you imagine the talk that was going on in the Israel camp when Joshua told them that they were going back to Ai?   The men of war ran for their lives and were defeated because of one man’s failure to obey the command of the Lord which caused them to lose the battle against Ai. Can you hear them saying as usual Joshua you must be kidding – you said that we were going to win the last war but look what happened? You may be one of those that hold onto past failure and the defeat of the past and can’t see past error/sin. However, when God issues a command, we must follow even when we do not comprehend. Understand making up for past failures is not always easy. We know that with God all things are possible. Just obey the orders and the commands of the Lord. Learn from your mistakes and the past failures. We learn so much from our mistakes that we gain wisdom. Know one thing that when God decrees a thing it should be established. Nothing my any means can stop the plan of God that He has established for His people from the beginning of time. Know with God you can make up for past failures when God is with you and has gone before you. You may have messed up with your marriage, finances, job or whatever it may be; know with God nothing has to be left in the failure state if you seek Him and allow Him to lead and guide you into all truth. All things work out for our good (Romans 8:28).

Job 22:28 (KJV)

28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

Isaiah 46:10 (KJV)

10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Psalm 33: (KJV)

11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

One of the most amazing qualities that are in the heirs and joint heirs of Christ is that failure is not an option.   We will try again in spite of our insecurities. Go back to prayer and hear what the Lord had already spoken concerning the matter.

Our ultimate desire is to please God and to depend on Him for all things but come to know that when we fall; we do try again. God teaches Joshua a powerful principle for the children of Israel on how to gain territory that was already there despite the defeat of the first battle.

Joshua 8:1

And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land:

Follow the plan that God has put before you and obey:

  1. Deal with your fear and discouragement – God told them not to fear and not to be discouraged. We must bind our minds to the mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5)
  2. Can you imagine the fear and discouragement that fell on the camp after they have seen the result of sin (the death of Achan and his family)?
  3. Do it God’s way:
  4. Take all the people of war with you. (Do not leave anyone out).
  5. Know that your mind will begin to talk to you – you must pull down the thoughts and do it God’s way. Cast down imaginations and high things (II Corinthians 10:5).
  6. Know the God we serve is strategic and detailed.

God took them back to the place of defeat so that he would restore in them the confidence to finish the assignment to conquer all of Canaan. Understand you can’t stop at past defeats because what God has for you and if you stop you will never achieve what he has stored up for you before the foundations of the earth. God does have a plan and purpose for your life, and he will bring you back to that place of disappointment and have you conquer your fear so you can move on. You may have felt like you cannot move on, but I command you to get up from that place of fear and discouragement and speak to yourself what God has said about you. You can and will move on. No matter what ones defeats may be; know that if we depend on and trust in God we will have and experience great triumphs for the Kingdom of God.   You have the power and authority to take out the enemy that was vexing your victory. Know that they recovered and came out with substance this time. As we experience great triumphs of God, remember to mark the place with an altar reminding you and the world what God has done for you. Stop and take the time to worship God at Ebal. Mount Ebal the place that reminded the Israelites and others the curse that will come upon you if you do not heed to the blessings of the Lord. Obedience is always better than sacrifice. Have a place that will remind you that without God you can do nothing.

Deuteronomy 27:2-5 (KJV)

2 And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:

3 And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee.

4 Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with plaister.

5 And there shalt thou build an altar unto the Lord thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.

Pray:

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you that you always cause me to triumph. Father, you give me the strength and the courage that when I fall your Word continues to speak to me and remind me who I am in you. Thank you for not leaving me or forsaking me. You cause me to arise and to move forward. Thank you that your plans for my life are yes and amen. Teach me to know your will and to trust you with my whole heart and not to deviate from your plan and purpose for my life. Keep me and continue to lead me in Jesus name I pray, Amen!

March Forward

PROPHETIC WORD FOR MARCH

Watch and see what God is doing on the behalf of His bride. Many shall see for the first time, as those who witnessed the Jordan River roll back and heap itself up so the Israelites could cross over. They will see how powerful our God is. Eyes have not seen, nor ears heard what our God would do for His children. This will not be March as usual. The month of March is a powerful prophetic month along with April. These months we will see divine intervention and divine favor for the advancement of God’s people. March 8, the anointing of acceleration will be present in your life. So as you turn your clocks ahead, know that God has leaped you forward. You will know that timing and season have come together. Your process has met up with your purpose. March 27, many will be given title deeds to things in the natural, as well as the Spirit. It’s time to stop living and going around in circles, time to occupy and take dominion.

These are not the months to be still; these are months to take the Kingdom of God by storm. Those that thought this was the end of you will have an awakening. They will see that God has not only been with you but has validated you. Someone, please say out loud catch-up, because that’s what God is about to do in your life. Time to seize this new season. What God is doing will not look like the old, because the new has come. Joshua 3:4 “…that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore.” New season of budding has come because of the seeds you have sown with the Word of God. There shall be a performance. Now brace yourself, you have been cut (circumcised). The knife has come to our foreskin. What was hidden; the cutting has revealed. In our past seasons, God was dealing with those things close to our heart that we would not share with others. God has shown us those things so we can move forward. The approach of your past has been rolled away you. Now you can occupy this new season knowing old things have been past away.

Joshua 5:8-9

8 And it came to pass, when they had done circumcising all the people, that they abode in their places in the camp, till they were whole.

9 And the Lord said unto Joshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you. Wherefore the name of the place is called Gilgal unto this day.

Luke 1:45

45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
